Jiang Enzhu
Born in 1938, Jiang was the fifth NPC spokesperson between 2004 and 2008. He once served as China's ambassador to the United Kingdom and China's deputy foreign minister.
Jiang said he used to prepare for news conferences months ahead of the opening of the NPC. He often discussed possible tough questions with officials of various ministries and listened to advice of media organizations.
