Li Jiheng elected Party chief of north China's Inner Mongolia

HOHHOT -- Li Jiheng was elected secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Saturday.

Li was elected to the post at the first plenary meeting of the tenth CPC Inner Mongolia regional committee.

Born in 1957, Li is a native of Guigang, south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and he joined the CPC in 1976.

He served as Party chief of Yunnan province before he was appointed Party chief of Inner Mongolia in August 2016.
