Chinese legislators deliberate draft nuclear safety law
BEIJING - China's top legislature started deliberating a draft nuclear safety law on Monday to improve the way in which the country contains nuclear risks.
The draft, currently in its first reading at the bimonthly session of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, proposes the establishment of an emergency response fund in case of nuclear accidents.
It also specifies rules for the publicity of information.
