China mulls amending surveying, mapping law
BEIJING - China's top legislature is considering amending the nation's surveying and mapping law to enhance the management of geological information under a new situation, according to a statement on Monday.
The amended draft was submitted to legislators for first reading at the bimonthly session of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, which runs from Monday to Nov. 7.
The law was formulated in 1992 and amended for the first time ten years later.
