Parents camp outside youth center to stay close to children

A number of parents who accompanied their children to attend classes at Hangzhou Youth and Children's Center went so far as to put up tents outside the center, signaling their intent to stay close by, a netizen disclosed online.

According to the netizen, many students take a full day of classes at the center. To save time and make their children more comfortable, the parents put up tents and gather various items for their children, including snacks and even bedding.

One such mother said her 8-year-old daughter attends calligraphy, dancing and magic classes on the weekend. On that day, she and her daughter got up at 7 am and arrived at the center for class at 8:30. After the morning classes ended at noon, they ate some pizza and took a nap in their tent before afternoon classes began at 2 pm.

Mr. Xia, another parent, remarked, "This is a lifestyle. You need to accompany your children. This is the life you choose."
