Fu Suqing, who was formerly the oldest woman in the world, died at home at 119, reported Chengdu Business Daily on Sunday.

According to her family, the old woman suddenly fell into bed on Saturday morning, with her eyes open, but breathless.

Fu stayed in good health for a long time. When she was over 100 years old, she would pick oranges and clean the yard. However, her health conditions worsened over the past half a year, and she ate less and slept most of the time.

The woman, from Chengdu, Sichuan province, lived her life without much fortune. She always wore a blue handkerchief on her head with coarse clothes. She loved coarse grain and also double-fired pork – she would eat the pork twice a day. And she also loved peaches, grapes and peanuts.

Fu had just turned 119 in August.

In 2013, she was identified as the oldest female in the world by Carrying the Flag World Records, a company based in London. But in the same year, her record was smashed by a 127-year-old woman from Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
