BEIJING - The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Tuesday that it has started investigations into two former senior officials.
Zhang Yue, a former member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China committee in north China's Hebei Province, and Chang Xiaobing, former chairman of China Telecom, were put under investigation separately in suspicion of accepting bribes.
The SPP put the two under "coercive measures", which may include arrest, detention, issuing a warrant to compel a suspect to appear, bail pending trial, or residential surveillance.
