Creation of China Daily's Tibetan-style font

Tibetan people use a bamboo pen to write Tibetan from left to right. The horizontal strokes of each Tibetan character have an acute angle towards its right side, while the vertical stroke of each Tibetan character looks thicker in upper half than lower half. Besides, the end of the vertical stroke of each character is stretched downward. Compared with Chinese characters, the overall look of Tibetan characters is longer, narrower around the middle and expanded. [Photo/China Daily]
