University head launches books on core values of socialism

A series of books have been published in Chinese and English to explain the core values of socialism and to introduce Chinese stories to the world.

Han Zhen, Party chief of Beijing Foreign Studies University, who is also the chief editor of the series, lead the team from Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Normal University. The books have been published by Renmin University.

Researchers gathered on June 19 for the books' publishing and discussed the importance of communicating Chinese values and introducing them to the world.

The series have 12 volumes in Chinese and English respectively, explaining key words, including peace, freedom and harmony.
