United Family Healthcare (UFH), a leading provider of private healthcare in China, announced on Thursday a partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a top multi-specialty academic health science center in the United States, that will increase access in China to specialized clinical expertise, training, and research from the United States.
As part of the collaboration, UFH and Cedars-Sinai physicians will consult on cases across the spectrum of adult and pediatric specialties, providing second opinions and an integrated referral pathway for Chinese patients requiring transfer overseas.
"Our alliance with Cedars-Sinai is a great resource for our patients and clinicians," said Roberta Lipson, President and CEO of United Family Healthcare.
Also on Thursday, UFH, which has two hospitals in Beijing, announced the opening of its two new clinics in Beijing, increasing the total number of clinics operated by UFH to nine in Beijing.
