NANJING - Jiang Hongliang, a senior Party official in Wuxi city in east China's Jiangsu Province committed suicide on Tuesday noon, the local publicity department announced.
Jiang, deputy secretary of Wuxi City Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) jumped from a tower in a local forest park. He was taken to hospital immediately but died at 1:50 p.m.
According to initial investigation, Jiang was suffering from depression. Further investigation is underway.
