Reading in the future
Reading might become more of a customized experience in the future, and the sight of readers forming long lines at magazine kiosks to buy a newspaper may disappear.
Digital reading will continue developing, helping more people access a wealth of information, but there is an urgent need for even more advanced technology that helps people acquire valuable information.
Books and magazines will probably not die out. According to a survey targeting university students, prestigious Chinese publications such as Sanlian Life Weekly and Southern Weekly remain their favorites.
Although print publications will have to offer higher quality and more customized materials to readers to survive.
