JINGGU, Yunnan - A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck southwest China's Yunnan province on Saturday evening, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The tremor was felt strongly at 6:20 p.m. at the Jinggu County, Pu'er City, which was jolted only about 16 hours ago by a 5.8-magnitude quake.
The quake hit at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the center. Xinhua reporters saw many local people rushing out of their buildings.
