The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, in partnership with the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service – French Institute of the French Embassy in China, and French companies Decathlon, EDF and Valeo, will launch the second Talents Trophy Award China at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich Hotel on Sept 18.
The trophy is for a competition dedicated to Chinese students following Sino-French majors. The aim is to evaluate the business, technical and linguistic skills of the best students regarding various topics, selected by the official partners of the event, and to reward the most innovative and talented students.
The competition includes a series of internal tests held in 40 partner universities across 15 provinces, from June 27 to Aug 15.
The laureate of each institution was asked to prepare a case study report and an oral presentation separately held in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai from Aug 27 to Sept 5.
The jury, composed of managers from the organizing companies, evaluated and selected the best candidates according to specific criteria such as the level of understanding, communication competences and general knowledge.
This unique initiative in China enables French companies to both identify promising Chinese talent and enhance their career opportunities within their structures.
The aim is to highlight and encourage Sino-French education cooperation, and support links between the business communities and the education circles, according to the organizers.
