BEIJING - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Friday sent a message to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk congratulating him on his election as new president of the European Council.
In the congratulatory message, Li said China and the European Union (EU) have maintained sound momentum in the development of their relations, with bilateral cooperation and exchange deepening steadily in various fields.
China believes that, with the joint efforts of both sides, China-EU relations and the mechanism of the China-EU leaders' meeting will keep bearing fresh fruit, Li added.
Tusk was elected the European Council president during an EU summit late last month.
