Topic: Egyptian elections

Q: As Islamic power dominates the Egyptian parliamentary elections, how will it influence the future political situation of the country and the relations between China and Egypt?

A: China hopes Egypt can regain stability and normal social order through the elections as soon as possible. China respects the choice of Egyptian people and is confident that they will properly handle their own issues. We hope the transition will be successful.

China is willing to establish relations with any political parties and groups elected by the Egyptian people. We believe that China-Egypt relations will get better and better.

Topic:Iraq War

Q: The US ended the war in Iraq at the end of 2011. What effect has the war had on China? What opportunities and challenges does China face in the reconstruction of Iraq?

A: Since the Iraq war broke out in 2003, it has brought great impact on the economic and trade cooperation as well as personnel exchanges between China and Iraq. As the situation in Iraq eases, the cooperation between the two countries increases in related fields, such as energy, trade, power and telecommunication.

Iraq has a long way to go in reconstruction. China always requires its enterprises in Iraq to put safety as a priority and to take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese people in Iraq.
