Beijing police raid fake medicine workshops
Beijing police have raided nine illegal workshops selling fake medicine and seized more than 700,000 fake pills since July, the capital's public security bureau reported on Tuesday.
Police said they also detained 33 suspects who allegedly used Taobao to sell weight-reducing medicine made in Thailand.
This particular type of medicine was banned in China and was extremely dangerous, the bureau said.
The case is under investigation, the bureau added.
