Capsule hotels take off across China

Guest try the latest capsule hotel in Haikou, South China's Hainan province on its opening, Aug 13. The hotel is made up of two layers of guest rooms, two meters by one meter and 1.2 meters in height. Each capsule has an LED fold-down TV,desk, free WiFi and central air-conditioning, as well as air outlets, fire extinguishers and a calling device for safety. Guests share bathrooms, but can also relax at the bar and café boosted by the hotel. The hotel, located along the Guomao Road, a downtown area in Haikou, hopes to attract tired lunchtime workers for 8.8 yuan ($1.47) per hour or 61.60 yuan ($10) per night. [Photo/Asianesphoto]
