Some might say there is only one Great Hall of the People where the biggest issues facing the nation are decided by the ruling Party.
But around 1,100 kilometers away in another building identical to the Great Hall a different kind of party is taking place.
Named Tianshang Renjian (meaning paradise on earth), the high-end nightclub shares the extravagance of its "twin" in Beijing, but located in Changshu, Jiangsu province.
Coincidently, it also shares the name of the notorious vice den in Beijing closed down by police.
Jin Hong, the businessman who owns the club, is not only famous for commerce, but he is also a member of the city's committee of People's Political Consultative Conference, the local political advisory body, Yangtze Evening Post reported.
Jin, a native of Yiwu, Zhejiang province, runs businesses ranging from entertainment to real estate and digital gadgets.
The club had been there for years, said a local resident in the neighborhood, adding that she was still baffled by its unexpected publicity.
