Xi, Park continue to discuss major issues
BEIJING - President Xi Jinping and Republic of Korea (ROK) President Park Geun-hye on Friday continued to exchange views on bilateral ties, the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, as well as other issues of common concern, according to a Foreign Ministry press release.

Xi and Park said their Thursday talks were fruitful, adding that the consensus they have reached will serve as guidelines for bilateral relations.
The two leaders agreed that both sides are connected in many ways and share many common interests, the release said, adding that both sides can provide each other with great opportunities, as both are concentrating on developing their economies and improving people's livelihoods.
They agreed that both sides should enhance communication, continuously deepen their bilateral strategic partnership, make joint efforts to promote denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and safeguard regional peace and stability.
They also exchanged views regarding their experience in governance.
Xi's wife Peng Liyuan and State Councilor Yang Jiechi also attended the meeting.
Park is visiting China from June 27 to 30 at the invitation of Xi. The two leaders held talks on Thursday and pledged to boost reciprocal cooperation between the two countries in an all-around way.
