A mother lost her child again during the Ya'an 7.0-magnitude earthquake on Saturday after a big sorrow in the 2008 Wenchuan quake, Yangtze Evening News reported on Sunday.

The son of the 50-year-old mother, Lu Jingkang (transliteration), was killed in a traffic accident during the massive quake five years ago, while her 17-year-old daughter died after she was hit by a collapsed house during the quake on Saturday, the report said.

As the quake happened, Lu was engaged in her newsstand, while her girl could not escape from the house and was pressed under the collapsed building, the report said.

In the past five years, the daughter has been the hugest comfort for the mother who had not released from the big sorrow of losing her son, but the Saturday tragedy damaged her again, the report added.
