Biography of Zhang Hanhui

Zhang Hanhui, director-general of Chinese Foreign Ministry's Department of European-Central Asian Affairs.

Zhang Hanhui was born in October 1963 in Liaoning province. He received a bachelor's degree from Shanghai International Studies University.

During his career with the Foreign Ministry, he has served in diplomatic posts in Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine and worked at the European-Central Asian Affairs department from 2003.

He became the director-general of the ministry's Department of European-Central Asian Affairs in December 2010.
