The China 3-D Technology and Creation Expo was held on Dec 18 in the Chaoyang Museum of Urban Planning to provide a platform for international exchanges and cooperation in the 3-D industry.
As part of the Seventh China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo, which will be staged from Dec 19 to 23, the exposition aims at sharing experiences and seeking cooperation among the industry worldwide.
"Now that 3-D technology has been closely related to our daily lives, the expo is of great significance serving as a platform to explore investment opportunities while promoting cooperation on a global scale," said Sun Suchuan, deputy director of the division of science and technology under the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
Hopefully we can be inspired through the discussion and further understand industry trends, he said.
In addition to the 3-D forum, when industry delegates will gather to share experiences and promote cooperation, the expo will also offer a 3-D equipment exhibition and 3-D short films roadshow.
"Beijing, as the national cultural center as well as technology innovation center, should make the best of its resources and further develop its 3-D technology," said Wu Xijun, deputy director of the Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center.
According to the China Council for Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council, the total value of signed contracts has reached 256.4 billion yuan ($41 billion) since 2006, when the expo was first held.
The expo is jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the General Administration of Press and Publication and the Beijing municipal government.
