JINAN - Three people died and 69 others were injured after a road accident in East China's Shandong province, local authorities said Friday.
The pile-up accident involving a dozen vehicles happened at 8:45 am on a snow-coated road section of the expressway from the provincial capital of Jinan to Guangzhou in Pingyin county in Jinan city.
A total of 72 people were injured during the accident and three of them died in hospital.
Traffic along the expressway has resumed.
