The seven-day administrative detention of a villager in Yiliang county, Yunnan province, for "stopping Premier Wen Jiabao's car" has been revoked, local police said on Friday.
In September, Liang Yonglan, 29, knelt and petitioned to Wen regarding local land acquisitions with other three residents when the premier was on his way to visit an earthquake-hit zone, the Beijing News reported.
On Nov 19, Yiliang police detained Liang for "blocking 30 cars including Wen's and interrupting the traffic".
However, the detention was put under the spotlight and the Public Security Bureau of Zhaotong intervened on Nov 21. After two days, the detention was revoked, its website said.
Liang returned home after paying 1,000 yuan ($158) in bail, the report said.
