Authorities in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China disclosed 1.3 million pieces of information upon public request in 2011, said the country’s top supervision authority.
The Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Wednesday said 85 percent of public requests to the regions have been answered timely.
Meanwhile, authorities of the central government revealed 3,000 pieces of information – responding to 70 percent of all the requests for information from the public.
