Museum promotion launched

A promotion for children to better understand the relics displayed in museums was started over the weekend in Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an, capital of Northwest Shaanxi province.

According to Zhao Rong, director of Shaanxi Provincial Administration of Heritage, the promotion, which will last until the end of December, aims to vigorously promote and popularize the extensive and deep human history and cultural knowledge shown in museums to youth groups of students in colleges and universities, primary and middle schools.

The promotion is expected to attract more than one million students to visit the museums across the province. Various activities will also be held to enable the students to know more about the museums and their exhibits in order to promote literacy and to strengthen the quality of education among young people.
