Japanese-made electronic rice cookers can be found in home appliance chain stores such as Gome and Suning in China's major cities. Compared with domestic rice cookers, which are sold for 100 yuan to 200 yuan ($15.86 to $31.72), the imported ones are sold at astonishing prices of 6,000 yuan to 7000 yuan, or even higher.
