A cluster of buildings built on the Lop Lake look like a huge ship, Oct 22, 2011. It's the world's largest potash production base- SDIC Xinjiang Luobupo Potash Co Ltd. The factory is located on the salt lake which lies in the lowest part of Lop Lake in southeast Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Potash is in great demand in China, with the country going through around 10 million tons annually. The base will produce 1.3 million tons annually, starting in 2011, pushing China's self supply rate up to 45 percent. [Photo/Xinhua]
