A mentally ill man who left home for 11 years after failing the national college exam was eventually found and returned home.
Leng Fenchu, 47, a resident in Xiushui county, Jiangxi province, felt greatly disappointed after he had failed to pass the national college exam in 1985 and then became mentally ill.
In 2000, he left home and lost touch with his family. His father, Leng Qingshui, spent all of his income on looking for the son but could not learn of his whereabouts.
On Jan 4, a relief station in Xiangtan, Hunan province, rescued Leng Fenchu, who had almost died on the street in the cold winter.
After about seven months of medical treatment, the man could recall his family's address and name, which helped the relief staff members get in touch with his family and send him back home.
