BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale hit Qinghe County in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 3:05 am Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was monitored at 46.0 degrees north latitude and 90.4 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 10 km, the center said.
