Libyan government envoy to visit China: official

BEIJING - A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman announced in Beijing on Tuesday that a special envoy of the Libyan government is set to visit China this week.

"The special envoy Abdul Ati Al-Obidi, who is also the Libyan Secretary for Foreign Liaisons & International Cooperation, is visiting China from Tuesday to Thursday," spokesman Hong Lei said in a Tuesday press release.

However, the spokesman did not disclose further information on the agenda or schedule of Al-Obidi's China visit.
