BEIJING - The Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee approved a decision on Saturday to convene the Fourth Session of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC.
The fourth session will open on March 3, two days before the plenary session of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
In its three-day meeting that started on Saturday, the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee will deliberate and vote on a series of issues, such as the agenda of the fourth session.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over Saturday's opening ceremony of the Standing Committee meeting.
