State Councilor: Rivalry not welcomed

History tells us that the world advances progressively, and that any form of rivalry, war, or cold war are not welcomed by the people, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo said Monday morning during the second China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue.

Dai points out that both sides should be aware of the world development momentum, and that China and US should work together in the 21st century to build a bilateral relationship so that two nations with different ideologies, social regimes and different development phases can create a win-win situation.

The world is not being decided by two nations like China and US, but it will definitely be affected if the two sides work together, Dai said in his speech.
