Individual visitors are expected to enjoy some privileges at the World Expo, such as free bus transit and discount dining coupons between September 2 and 17 if they make tour reservations.

The incentives are jointly offered by Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center, an authorized Expo travel agent, and 23 tourist distribution centers in the Yangtze River Delta region.

To be eligible, visitors need to purchase one of the four types of Expo tickets -- Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, Three Day Admission or Seven Day Admission -- three days in advance at the branches of Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center, or the 23 tourist distribution centers.

Those who booked their visits are expected to enjoy a free shuttle bus ride to the World Expo (within Shanghai only), and a 30-yuan (US$4.4) discount coupon to be used in the public dining areas at the Expo site, except canteens at the Expo Culture Center and pavilions.

Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center said their offers are limited to only 10,000 visitors per day within the promotion period and are not available on Saturdays, namely September 4 and 11.

Booking starts from today to September 14.
