Shanghai Library

An exhibition introducing the beautiful scenery and cultural heritage of Greece opens today, and marks the opening of Greek Tourism Week. The exhibition will introduce Greece as a tour destination for young couples and give vivid presentations of the country's rich history in 3D interactive media.

After the opening, a series of lectures, forums and discussions will be held at the Shanghai Library about Greece's use of its Olympic assets and cultural heritage, environmental protection, cultural protection and accessibility.

Yuyuan Fashion Center

Visual artists will create graffiti at the public square at Yuyuan Fashion Center tonight and tomorrow night, as well as on Sept 3-4. Photographers are encouraged to record the highlights of these shows and upload their pictures to http://life.sina.com.cn/sh/ycss/index.html to compete for prizes, including watches, cameras and Expo tickets.

Result of the competition will be released on the website at the end of September and winning pictures will be exhibited at the Yuyuan Fashion Center.

Shanghai Library

An exhibition of 3D images of Expo Shanghai 2010 by Xinhua News Agency photographers - from the construction of the Expo Garden to cultural performances and excited tourists. This is the first time the photographs are exhibited in 3D. Visitors are handed 3D glasses on arrival and wear them to experience 3D visual effects. There will also be a demonstration of 3D television, providing a glimpse of the future of home entertainment.

The exhibition lasts two weeks.

Australia Pavilion

The Bizircus Theater, made up of Ross Vegas and Ella Mental from Western Australia, has jointly produced many theatrical and public square performance projects in the past five years.

Bizircus Theater is famous for its hilarious character comedy and explosive acrobatic stunts. Drawing influence from Chinese and European circuses, and street theater, modern dance and slapstick, Bizircus brings humorous performances for visitors to the Australia Pavilion until Sept 4.

Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center

Sleuth, a Tony award winning play by British playwright Anthony Shaffer, will be presented in Chinese. A successful mystery writer obsessed with inventions and fascinated with games lures his wife's lover to his house and convinces him to stage a robbery of her jewelry. This sets off a series of chain reactions and things get out of control. The play features actors Zhou Yemang and Jia Jinghui.

Yuyintang

Sassy Kraimspri and her band from Norway will give a concert. Kraimspri has been working together with Tricky Dick since they met in 2004. Tricky Dick lived in Sydney but moved to Norway with Kraimspri.

Kraimspri's music style is first of all punk and then blues. She has performed in the United States, Canada and Australia, and her first EP was released in 2001. The performance starts at 9 pm.

Australia Pavilion

The Australia Pavilion will introduce a new performing group today. Featuring some of the best violinists around, Fiddlers Feast is a group playing an eclectic collection of music, including jazz, swing, blues, Celtic, country and contemporary. One reviewer said: "(The band) is a powerhouse of Australian Celtic music that flies down bush tracks, over blue mountains and zips down the Australian city highways". Fiddlers Feast will perform at the Australia Pavilion until Sept 7.
