"It is a little difficult for Shanghai to become a livable city. Traffic is a problem and the air could be a little bit cleaner. The population density is quite high. But Shanghai has a large population with lot of talent that brings excellent creative ideas when they communicate with one another. I think the sense of creativity is a competitive edge for Shanghai. Creativity, if it happens in a livable city, will make Shanghai a great city."

president of Center for Livable Cities of Singapore in Shanghai.

"The Shanghai Case Pavilion is built exactly where we lived before the Expo. We feel very proud so we brought our child to see it. I felt reluctant to move and make a place for the Expo Garden as I lived for many years in that apartment and I thought the location beside the Huangpu River was prestigious. But since we moved into a new apartment, the living conditions and environment are better."
A resident, who was relocated to make way for the Expo Garden, revisited the place he once lived.
