Tango performances by Argentinian dancers marked the start of the Latin America and Caribbean Month at the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Pavilion, August 1, 2010.
Brazilian music and Colombian culture will also be featured in the month-long event.
The ICOM exhibition explores the interdependence and interaction between museums and the city, namely in culture, society, economy, innovation and environment.
The ICOM Pavilion, remarkably simple and modern in design, has areas for fixed and temporary shows. The circular front atrium can serve both as an exhibition area and an activity area. A video screen in the back creates a sensational setting of a modern museum.
