Exhibitions
Elementary Spectacle
The Small Production: Elementary Spectacle, an exhibition by Shi Qing and Shao Yi, presents different artificial landscapes. More precisely, it defines ecosystems specific to each of the two artists. Shi Qing's "geographic system" is composed of polyurethane foam, gypsum, flour, bricks, and other low-cost daily materials that are ephemeral, fragile, ancillary and modifiable. "Geographic system" isn't a mere reproduction inspired from nature, but a rejection of a landscape by the artist's visual political system.

A game with ink
The exhibition at Zendai Zhujiajiao Art Museum features calligraphy and water-ink paintings by Wang Xiaoming. Through his works, viewers can easily feel his passion for traditional Chinese ink and wash. To him, it's more like a game with ink where what matters the most is the enjoyment of a world drawn in pure ink.

Man-made Jungles
From numerous predators and countless prey to exotic wonderlands filled with beauty and danger, man has not only been bound to the jungle, but also consumed by the mere thought of it. Life in this frail yet fascinating "man-made jungle" has inspired numerous contemporary Chinese artists from Chen Geyi's dark yet eerily luminous wasteland paintings, to Feng Dakang's bright, misshapen, abandoned buildings. Man-made Jungles is an exhibition of some of today's contemporary Chinese artists displaying life as it changes and evolves in urban China.
