Theme week on mining opens in Mexico Pavilion

Mining industry week was launched at the Mexico Pavilion yesterday, featuring a photographic exhibition about Mexico's rich mining resources, the industry's development and the country's efforts in balancing mining exploitation and sustainable development.

The theme of the photo show is "Mineral Natural Wonders." It will run through June 13.

Gerardo Ruiz Mateo, the Economic Minister of Mexico, announced the opening of the mining industry investment seminar this morning, which was part of the week-long program. It aims at promoting Mexico's cooperation with China in mining resources' exploitation.

Director of ProMexico, Bruno Ferrari, and Chong Quan, Chinese Assistant Minister of Commerce, attended the seminar. Around 500 businessmen and investors participated.
