A group of 50 disadvantaged children from earthquake-ravaged Dujiangyan City in Sichuan Province yesterday enjoyed a tour to the China Pavilion.
They watched an eight-minute film clip featuring a tribute to the nation's joint efforts and solidarity in reconstructing Wenchuan in the wake of the 8.0-maginitude earthquake on May 12, 2008. Some of them couldn't control their tears when the film was screened.
The school where the children come from has more than 1,600 students, among whom 113 are disadvantaged. It functions as a primary and middle school.
