Up to 78,000 tickets have been sold by last midnight since the tickets sales start in China on July 1.

"The May Day peak day tickets have been sold out on the first day of sales", said Jing Weijuan, manage of one China Mobile outlet.

Officials with China Post's Shanghai branch said that more than 12,000 of Expo tickets have been sold up to the morning of July 4. They will apply for more tickets from the Expo organizers.

It is said that the China Telecom will increase 100 ticket selling outlets in Shanghai.

The public are able to buy tickets from tomorrow at more than 2,800 outlets of China's four major ticketing agents - China Mobile, China Telecom, China Post and the Bank of Communications - across the country. The agents have opened hotlines, Websites and outlets around the world.
