Premier Wen to attend East Asian leaders' meetings

BEIJING - Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will attend a series of meetings between East Asian leaders in Hanoi from October 28 to 30, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu announced on Wednesday.

Wen is invited by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The meetings include the 13th summit between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the 13th summit between ASEAN, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the fifth East Asia Summit.

Wen will also attend a meeting between leaders of China, Japan and the ROK.
