Happy Sunshine Festival to be held in Panzhihua

Sponsored by the Panzhihua municipal people’s government in Sichuan Province and the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Administration, the 2010 Happy Sunshine Festival will be held in Panzhihua from Nov27 to Feb17, 2011.

The festival is expected to draw more than 300,000 tourists to the city whose annual average temperature is 20 degrees Centigrade and whose frost-free period is over 300 days, according to Panzhihua’s vice mayor Xu Jianmin.

Panzhihua, which is warm in winter and cool in summer, is a famous sunny city in Sichuan and has many flowers round the year. Its cycad is in blossom every year, he said.
