Taiwan's New Party Chairman Yok Mu-ming visited the tomb of Dr Sun Yat-sen at Sun's mausoleum in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province on Friday, the 144th anniversary of the revolutionary leader's birth and the first day the tomb has been open to visitors for free, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Yok said it's been five years since he last visited the mausoleum, during which the mainland's power has been rising and cross-Straits exchanges have become smoother.
He also said he believes free entry to the scenic spot will allow more people to learn about Sun's spirit, which he says will probably help to unite Chinese people to a greater extent.
