ROK firm to build $75m apartment project in Tianjin

TIANJIN - Samsung C&T Corporation, a leading construction and trading company from the Republic of Korea, will invest 500 million yuan ($75 million) to build an apartment complex in the North China port city of Tianjin, its Chinese partner said Friday.

Construction of more than 600 apartments will start in March, said Wu Caiwen, president of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co, Ltd.

Apartment marketing is scheduled to begin by the end of 2011.

"We will provide clients with high-quality, environment-friendly and energy-efficient apartments," Wu said.
