Wen emphasizes proper resolution of South China Sea dispute

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said on Thursday that solving the territorial dispute in the South China Sea properly is crucial for maintaining healthy and stable development of China-Vietnam ties. The key is to maintain stability in the South China Sea and avoid disturbing bilateral ties.
Wen made the remarks when meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi. The meeting was on the sidelines of a series of summits between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its partners in the capital of Vietnam.
