BEIJING - The Philippines has forwarded a copy of a second report into a hostage-taking incident to the Chinese embassy, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said here Tuesday.
"The report is being scrutinized by the Chinese side," Ma told a regular news briefing.
Filipino authorities handed the first report on the incident to China on September 20.
On August 23, a dismissed Filipino police officer hijacked a tour bus carrying 25 people, including 21 tourists from Hong Kong.
The 11-hour hostage crisis ended in bloody carnage with eight Hong Kong tourists and the hostage-taker dead, after Filipino police bungled the rescue.
