HK hostage survivors and victims come home

MANILA - The last two surviving Hong Kong tourists set free in a bloody rescue operation after being held hostage on Monday in Manila flew back to Hong Kong Thursday afternoon, an official of the Chinese Embassy to the Philippines confirmed.

A tourist who was shot in the head and is still unconscious and his mother returned home on board a medical plane, Sun Yi, spokesman of the Chinese Embassy told Xinhua.

Another wounded tourist took a commercial airliner late Wednesday back to Hong Kong, Sun said, adding that as of Thursday afternoon, all 21 Hong Kong tourists involved in the incident have gone back to Hong Kong including the bodies of eight victims.
