Three parks have finished fence demolition and are coming to life with green decoration, with another two under preparation for reconstruction in the city of South China's Guangdong province, Guangzhou Daily reported on Wednesday.

Closed-off park fences and dense green belt will be replaced by short and sparse woods so pedestrians can enjoy the scenery inside parks, Wang Guoru, chief of the Forest Bureau of Guangzhou city, said.

Ten parks are involved in the renovation program and seven of them are accepting public bids for construction projects.

There is no deadline for the projects and the progress should be done step by step according to the diverse environment, an official with Guangzhou Political Consultative Conference explained.

Guangzhou is preparing for the 16th Asian Games which is to be held in November.
